OZ Implementations
OZ flight dynamic graphics superimposed on a Forward Vision EVS image.  The horizon is at 80% of the vertical height of the EVS image.  The filled green circle is the point of intended landing.  The small open circle is the flight path vector. This (conceptual) image shows that while the flight path vector is slightly to the right of the heading, the aircraft is drifting left of the point of intended landing.

The OZ metaphor is compatible with other imaging/vision systems.  The OZ flight dynamic graphics show all the information from the traditional six-pack instruments along with energy management (power applied and required) and flight path vector.  The full OZ display is simply a special case of OZ flight dynamic graphics superimposed on the OZ panoramic external world display.  Although infrared (and conventional Synthetic Vision) imagery is typically limited to a relatively narrow forward-looking field of view, the OZ flight dynamic display can be superimposed on a narrow FoV image without modification.  OZ external world symbology can still be superimposed on narrow FoV imagery but is limited to the field of view of the imaging system.
